Mini Chest Of Draws Jewellery Box

I really love this little gift box. It is a real cutie. There are so many ways this little box can be used. You can leave out the insert and just add chocolates. And Cherry Cobbler, well that has always been my favorite Christmas (red), colour. I love the blue based reds, they are so rich in colour. And what about that Glimmer Paper? it is so easy to work with as the glitter does not come of the paper, very user-friendly. At Christmas time I can’t think of a better project to dress up some small little tokens when handing out gifts for the Christmas season.

I also think that this is a great little party and or wedding favour box. Just change the paper and the sentiment and you could have a really cute party favour.

Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper on a Box!

I love this Designer Series Paper, because it is special, as it suggests. It is delicate lace, whisper white on one side and very vanilla on the other. There are 8 sheets: 4 each of 2 designs 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm).

With the 12 x 12 pieces of delicate lace, I decided to cut them and use them. I just couldn’t let them go to waste they are so pretty.

You can see why I choose to cut up the 12 x 12, it looks awesome on the 3 x 3 boxes, which you can fit a bit in, chocolate comes to mind! lol as always!

The project:

Base of Box: black cardstock sized, 7″ & 3/16th’s x 7″ & 3/16th’s scored at 2″ on all 4 sides.

Lid: Pacific Point (or colour preference), sized 6″ & 1/4 x 6″ & 1/4 scored at 1″ 1/2 on all 4 sides.

Cut a piece of the Delightfully Detailed DSP  7″ x 7″ to cover the top of the lid, as per the video instructions.

The tutorial includes the instructions to create these cute boxes, including how to add the delicate lace to the box. It really is easy and you will be just as excited as I was with the results.

Hello everyone and thank you for joining me today for this tutorial. I love this Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’Up! one side shines, with silver foil imprinted patterns and the other side, has an array of differing colours and patterns to choose from. For me however, it is the shiny side that I want to play with.

I think I managed to use this piece nicely, by pretending it is rain, falling towards the soft red rose birthday bloom. Plus it was raining today here in Sydney and summer is coming to an end, which makes us all a bit sad I am sure.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
