Gift Tag- Parisian Blossoms

I am so excited we have a tag, that can be made into a shaker card. I guess there are many ways to make a shaker tag, but this tag using the Bonanza Dies makes it so much easier. Just choose your canvas, and cut. Add a few embellishments and you are done. A super way to use up those spare bits of DSP and or cardstock.

Mini Chest Of Draws Jewellery Box

I really love this little gift box. It is a real cutie. There are so many ways this little box can be used. You can leave out the insert and just add chocolates. And Cherry Cobbler, well that has always been my favorite Christmas (red), colour. I love the blue based reds, they are so rich in colour. And what about that Glimmer Paper? it is so easy to work with as the glitter does not come of the paper, very user-friendly. At Christmas time I can’t think of a better project to dress up some small little tokens when handing out gifts for the Christmas season.

I also think that this is a great little party and or wedding favour box. Just change the paper and the sentiment and you could have a really cute party favour.

Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper on a Box!

I love this Designer Series Paper, because it is special, as it suggests. It is delicate lace, whisper white on one side and very vanilla on the other. There are 8 sheets: 4 each of 2 designs 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm).

With the 12 x 12 pieces of delicate lace, I decided to cut them and use them. I just couldn’t let them go to waste they are so pretty.

You can see why I choose to cut up the 12 x 12, it looks awesome on the 3 x 3 boxes, which you can fit a bit in, chocolate comes to mind! lol as always!

The project:

Base of Box: black cardstock sized, 7″ & 3/16th’s x 7″ & 3/16th’s scored at 2″ on all 4 sides.

Lid: Pacific Point (or colour preference), sized 6″ & 1/4 x 6″ & 1/4 scored at 1″ 1/2 on all 4 sides.

Cut a piece of the Delightfully Detailed DSP  7″ x 7″ to cover the top of the lid, as per the video instructions.

The tutorial includes the instructions to create these cute boxes, including how to add the delicate lace to the box. It really is easy and you will be just as excited as I was with the results.

thanks for stopping and looking.

Valentine’s Day 2016

Happy Valentine’s Day.

I know not everyone wants to send a Valentines Day card. Whilst I did have this in mind the Valentines Day theme in my head, just wouldn’t go away, I just loved the stamp set and of course out pops this design. One of my most important rules for designing is that you must be able to use and send this card design, for a different occasion? I  always take this approach when I design a card, because I want the design to be used! So this certainly can work like a personal birthday card or special wish for someone, just by changing the sentiment.

I do stick to a few rules. Create a card for any occasion if needed. Make it flow with symmetry, and make it a special moment for the recipient, and it must clean and simple.

This is my approach when I create.  When I set out to complete a card, for any occasion, sometimes it turns out very different to the idea in my mind’s eye. As I am sure most of you know, designing is the hardest part. I like people to look and my designs with interest, and curiosity. I want them to enjoy what I produce, just as if it were a painting in a Museum. I do hope that you enjoy my card design for Valentines Day 2016. I also hope that you will use it and create it too send to anyone at any time. The hardest part has been done for you. I consider paper crafting an art form, one that can be shared and remade over and over the best part of paper crafting and the beauty of it…. Happy Valentine’s Day…Don’t forget to share your art!

Connie-Rae xoxo
